Trail-Running Workshop - WTF (What's the fundamentals 😂 ) Limited Group Size

If you're already a runner and eager to dip your toes into the world of trail running, then this workshop and trail run will be for you. Over the course of approximately 3 hours, we will talk about and practice lots of trail running fundamentals..

We will cover variety of important elements to trail running, some listed below but much more in practice.

  1. Gear Selection: We will discuss equipment choices, including footwear and hydration vests.

  2. Trail Etiquette: Explore the proper ways to treat the trails while enjoying them.

  3. Running Techniques & Drills: Running form in trail running, Who'd have thunk it? Uphill, downhill running, balance and agility over uneven ground. Running Poles/Cheat sticks, thoughts around the advantages and disadvantages of using them.

  4. Navigation Options: A high level look in the world of navigational tools, from watches and phones to maps, weighing the pros and cons of each.

  5. Trail Safety: Prioritise your safety on the trails with practical tips and guidelines.

  6. Practical 5 or 10k Run (will be clear in each location): Put your newly acquired knowledge into action during a practical 10-kilometer trail run. We will frequently pause for teaching points and practice.

  7. Q&A and Trail Discussion: Throughout the workshop, we encourage questions and trail-related conversations.

This workshop is carried out during a group trail run, where we run together. It's a learning experience and not a competition. Frequent stops will be made to provide insights and guidance. Come ready to explore the fundamentals and ignite your passion for trail running! Kit lists will be provided.
